Arthur John Black (1855-1936) is a well listed landscape and portrait artist who worked in both oil and watercolour. He studied in Paris at the Academie des Beaux-Arts under the noted artist Benjamin Constant. He exhibited at the Royal Academy 36 times, and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters 54 times.
